The facilitator is the key to maintaining academic excellence and integrity in your classes. An effective facilitator does the following:
- Communicate expectations daily
- Organizes class time effectively and efficiently
- Maintains class discipline
- Prepares in advance for quizzes, tests, and labs
- Take a vigilant approach in the classroom, walks around and interacts with the students
- Expects student participation during the class
- Encourages students in learning and in life
- Contacts CCO subject matter experts when needed
- Makes sure all missed work is made up promptly
- Maintains communication with parents
- Knowledge and comfort with technology is essential
It would be ideal if one person could facilitate in all your school's classes. If this is not possible, we advise that you appoint one primary person to manage the activities for all classrooms and act as the central point of contact for your school.
